The 720S market is very steady once it reaches its 4 year mark. Older cars accelerated the depreciation of newer cars as well as the release of the 750S and 765LT putting price pressure down. The newer 720S car still positioned to lose based on time depreciation as final time depreciation will still take place until 2027. The Spyder market as expected holds better than coupe strictly based on lower numbers and a desirable hardtop setup. The Performance models are the better and more stable models on both coupe and spider line ups based on less units, a few extra options and perception of a higher trim level for the flagship McLaren model. On the Resale Market, the 720S focus should be on 2020 to 2022 model as the depreciation curves are already steady. The spider medium range is 250K so roughly 150K off MSRP and coupes at 220K. Be very cautious of sub 220K cars as the repairs will often mount to astronomical numbers.

This 720S is the right spec, right color, right trim level but will simply keep depreciating based on the year alone. The only way to guarantee this car goes from a WEAK hack to a STRONG hack is to get the price under $285K and limit the loss by not exceeding 7K miles in 12 months. The RYFT kit is very desirable and well done, it is worth money assuming the factory carbon parts are available as well, otherwise only a $5000 allocation can be made for it. If the car can be negotiated well, you selected the perfect actual spec for this car. A set of wheels and suspension will make this a very desirable 720S on the resale market.
