perpetual analysis:
BMW M850I
The M8 market is starting to show its BCV allowing the M8 to finally assume the M6 past depreciation model. This is an almost identical depreciation curve except for a 16% basis increase. The depreciation curve is however exactly the same. This means that we do not have to potentially guess the direction of the M8 coupe or convertible, both of which are hackable with an average of 14% increase in cost on the secondary market

This is not the right car as the 850i is not a hackable car unless bought very cheap and for a very short periods of driving. This is a 2023 so its still about 50% depreciation at the 4 year mark next year and even more if the warranty runs out since its a CPO car, which in itself is also a problem since BMW dealers selling BMW rarely ends up in the right price range. This is a big chain store for the cars are often 10K higher than any competing dealership. Wrong car, Wrong year, If the car had 2K miles for that price and option pack, I would have argued you can drive this at least 7K miles but in case its 8K per miles per year for this car which means no leverage in buying good free miles.
