Rolls Royce Phantom
The Phantom market is not for the weak. It can be EXTREMELY costly to own a phantom if you choose the wrong one and mileage isn't always the determining factor. These cars themselves, while built well, are very early Rolls technology and suffer from many faulty parts due to age and bad manufacturing. The only cars to consider should be the 2013+ series 2 phantom, and 2018+ new body phantoms. I would recommend staying away from all older generations unless collecting with no intention of actually driving the cars. Series 2 cars give you the best of old school phantom design coupled with modern enough tech and features to make the driving pleasurable and convenient.

This is simply the wrong car to buy unless you intend to sink another 30 to 40K a year in maintenance. Outside of the fact that its plagued with issues as a first gen modern phantom, its also specifically now getting to a point where the wear and tear is mechanical and cosmetic, which means expensive repairs on the outside and inside. It is highly unlikely that this car will ever pass an inspection especially as older cars didn't have control arms to support 24 and 26” wheels either, adding to the astronomical list of repairs it will need from day 1. If you are seeking a phantom as a hack, spend a little more and find a clean 2013 in the low 100s like 120k to 130K. The experience will be better and the overall car will break down less.
