The cold hard truth about insurance, repairs, and maintenance (part 7)

Do you know what is the #1 thing that prevents people from ever buying their dream car?

Fear.

The fear of the unknown.

The fear of insanely high insurance costs or being stuck with a costly repair bill.

To be fair...

I get it.

Most people are brain washed thinking that luxury and exotic cars cost an arm and a leg.

And to be brutally honest...

Of course it will cost more than your Toyota Camry, but it's not as bad as you think.

Here's why...

There are ways to mitigate or reduce your out-of-pocket expenses as much as possible so that your actual exotic car ownership is stress-free.

I want to take a quick moment here to dispel all the BS you've read and let you hear the truth from someone who actually owns these cars.

Insurance

Most people think insurance for a $100,000 luxury or exotic car will cost thousands of dollars per month.

Would you believe me if I told you that you can insure an exotic car for as little as $100 per month?

I'm talking about full comprehensive coverage with a trusted insurance provider like Geico or State Farm.

Below you can see my student Oscar only pays $100 per month for his Audi R8!

Is $100 per month too rich for your blood?

How about my other student Jay that insures his Ferrari for $809 per year!

That is $67 per month.

I dare you to look at your current insurance premium right now and tell me you're paying less.

But here's the thing...

I can't help you if you don't help yourself first.

So if you have a poor driving record that consists of tickets and other poor life choices, then you're out of luck.

But if your driving record is relatively clean, you can 1000% insure a luxury or exotic car for as low as $100 per month without question.

Repairs

Trust me... nobody wants to buy a car and then have to put more money into it to keep it running.

The truth is things can happen, but it's not as common as you think.

When we hack luxury or exotic cars, we aren't buying cars made in the 80s or 90s like the Ferrari Testarossa or Lamborghini Diablo.

As pretty and iconic as those cars are, they're terrible to drive and have high running costs.

The cars we hack are modern new-age luxury and exotic cars which means they have much better build quality and reliability.

Did you know that some Aston Martins use Ford parts?

Did you know that some Rolls Royces use BMW parts?

Did you know that Lamborghini cars today use VW parts?

Cross-platform part sharing is a lot more common than you think.

But here's a secret little trick that all car hackers use prior to signing papers.

We always perform something called a PPI.

It stands for Pre-Purchase Inspection.

What this essentially means is that an independent third party mechanic or shop will inspect a car before purchase.

By doing a PPI, they are able to uncover any hidden problems and save you the headache (not to mention thousands of dollars).

Sometimes problems can be minor like the need for new brake pads.

This is totally ok because now you have extra leverage during your negotiation to ask for a discount.

But if the problem is major like leaking head gasket, then that's an immediate red flag for you to walk away from the deal.

Remember how I said the cars we hack have a following?

PPIs are very easy to do on luxury and exotic cars because there are thousands of independent performance shops across the US that specialize in these type of cars.

Another reason why repairs are a non-issue is because many cars are still under factory or extended certified pre-owned warranty.

So if for ANY reason you need to fix an issue, all you have to do is drop off the car at the dealer to get it resolved at $0 out of pocket expense.

When you consider both these things, you can have total peace of mind.

Maintenance

The last thing I want to touch on is maintenance.

By doing your due diligence with the Pre-Purchase Inspection as mentioned previously, you should not have to worry about consumables like tires or brakes.

Remember that we usually hack cars between 6-12 months.

Because this window is so short, you will never have to worry about anything more than an oil change.

So what if you need to do an oil change?

Well for one... NEVER go to the dealership.

They don't call them 'stealership' for no reason.

Just like how they tried to scam this poor guy out of $650 on a basic oil change for an Audi R8.

So how much can you expect to pay for an oil change?

$500?

$300?

$250?

What if I told you oil changes can be UNDER $200?

The same shops that do PPIs are the same independent shops that do the same exact work for a fraction of the rate a dealer would charge.

Yes, $200 might be more than the $50 oil change you're used to but don't forget these are high performance engines that require the 'good stuff'.

When you do your due diligence, you won't inherit any problems.

Don't let the fear of the unknown stop you from owning your dream car.

If you're ready to stop watching from the sidelines, and ready to jump into the driver's seat of your very own luxury or exotic car...

...I have one more thing to show you that will dramatically shortcut your way into a luxury or exotic car even faster and easier.
